Maternal Levels of Care Rules Effective March 1

March 1, 2018

The final Hospital Level of Care Designations for Maternal Care, 25 TAC, Chapter 133, Subchapter K, §§133.201 – 133.210 were published in the February 16, 2018 edition of the Texas Register, and become effective March 1, 2018.

The published rules can be found at:  Texas Register on 43 TexReg 875 – 887 of the February 16 edition.

Be on the lookout for more information on TETAF’s maternal survey process soon!

The Department of State Health Services will also be reaching out to the RACs/perinatal care regions to schedule educational sessions similar to those provided for NICU designation.
